It’s no secret that COVID 19 and the government imposed lockdowns have affected the live music and arts sectors and the people that work in them. At the beginning of lockdown, we launched a number of initiatives to help support local creatives through a series of projects, including this one, Front Room Sessions.
Front Room Sessions is a genre-bending, visual album featuring original songs and videos created by Coventry and Warwickshire musicians and artists. Everything about this album was created in socially distanced conditions, using the power of technology.
The album is a journey through the diverse genres of music that make up the fabric of the city and features bands, solo artists, illustrators and filmmakers. From the sound production, to the video teasers and behind the scenes documentary, this piece of lockdown history was created by Coventry.
